If you don’t have tickets to an Arizona Diamondbacks game, there is now another place nearby where you can catch the action regardless and even put down a bet if you wish while you’re there. The Caesars Chase Field sportsbook is now open to the public.
Caesars boasts the retail sportsbook’s size among its competition in the state. The space allows for a number of D’Backs fans to pass the time between pitches.
Chase Field sportsbook ready for action
Caesars and the Diamondbacks held a ceremony to officially open the brick-and-mortar sportsbook Tuesday. Construction has been in the works since May of 2021. According to a press release, it’s an impressive location.
Caesars says that the over 22,000 square feet span two stories. While not technically part of Chase Field, it stands adjacent to the stadium. Because of that, Caesars calls it the largest freestanding sportsbook in Arizona and the largest retail sportsbook to open in partnership with a major sports stadium in the United States.
On top of nine betting windows and 13-self service Caesars kiosks, there’s seating for more than 400 people on each floor. An outdoor patio complements wall-to-wall flatscreen televisions.
The sportsbook is open on D’Backs off-days. The hours of operation are:
- Mondays – Thursdays: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Fridays: 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Sundays: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Fans who are there for the whole nine innings might get hungry or thirsty. Caesars and the Diamondbacks have accounted for that.
DTPHX restaurant opens in concert with sportsbook
The culinary provisions for D’Backs fans inside this Caesars sportsbook started materializing in February. Guy Fieri announced he would help Caesars create a new DTPHX Kitchen + Bar restaurant concept.
The menu incorporates some of Fieri’s popular dishes from his other restaurants and is open on almost the same schedule as the sportsbook.
DTPHX opens at 11 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays, closing at 10 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the kitchen opens at 11:30 a.m. with food service available until 10 p.m. Beverage service is available on Fridays and Saturdays until 1 a.m.
While someone might eventually build a bigger sportsbook, this one near Chase Field has a lot to offer, even if someday it doesn’t rank for its size anymore.
